You only need a website migration if you choose to switch website hosts.
We will have to do an analysis first of your website to see how much content will need to be moved before we can quote a price.

We give you an estimate on both cost and time and then once you’re satisfied, we begin by first backing up your website and then we move all the files to the new location. If it's part of our website care plans, we only charge for migrating e-commerce websites We also perform a post-migration SEO audit to make sure everything was done properly and that your SEO isn’t ruined.
To start the website migration, we need a login to the website’s back-end as well as a FTP login. You do not have to give us your login to these. You can create one just for us in each case. We can also assist you in creating these if you’re not sure how.
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. FTP clients are used to access the file structure of your website. Depending on the type of system your website was built on, sometimes it can be a simple process of just moving files via FTP to migrate a website.
To find your FTP login, it is generally in your hosting account. Most hosting accounts use CPanel. If you’re not sure where in CPanel it is or you’re not sure if you have CPanel, please fill out the form on our Contact page and we can assist you.
Yes. In some cases it may be down for a few minutes, but in other cases it can be down for up to 24-48 hours, but only if the migration requires us to point your domain to a different website server. We tend to not start migrations until after business hours at the end of the day and sometimes not until Friday afternoon. That way you take less of a chance in losing out on clients or customers during the down time.
The length of time the website migration process takes depends on the type of website you have and how much content there is to move.
